The future of kiosks will not be stationary objects, but mobile interactive robots. That is, if the Korean company Future Robot has anything to say about it. The robotics maker recently debuted a people friendly mobile robot called FURO. The robot can sense objects in order to navigate areas and can respond to both verbal and touch-screen commands. The large cartoonish looking head can turn and nod to users which enhances its personality and approachability. An army of these robots could prove very useful in airport and conference event-based environments.
