The Human-Computer Interaction Research Team at Disney has developed a way to turn living plants into digital sensors. The system is built on the Touche technology that the team created in 2010. Sensors placed into the soil create an electrical circuit within the plant that transmits data via bluetooth. This combination can be used to create a variety of sensory interactive environments both in Disney Theme Parks and beyond.
